3. |
Become
a
shelter
volunteer
All
of
our
dogs
are
given
individual
attention
daily,
including
walks
and
play
time.
We
need
volunteer
help
to
make
this
happen.
|
|
4. |
Adopt
an
animal.
Browse
our
shelter
online
or
in
person.
All
our
dogs
come
with
training
and
follow
up
care.
|
|
5. |
Sponsor
a
pet.
For
any
amount
per
month
you
can
sponsor
any
of
our
animals
to
help
care
for
them.
|
|
6. |
Donate
supplies.
We
always
need
blankets,
towels,
bathroom
rugs,
film,
leashes,
newspapers,
carrying
crates — any
item
a
dog
might
need.
|
|
7. |
Foster
a
pet.
Many
of
our
animals
go
to
foster
homes
before
they
can
be
adopted.

So
You
Think
You
Can't
Help?
Think
Again!
|
|
|
|
So
you
think
you
can't
be
a
valuable
resource
to
our
shelter?
Think
again!
If
you've
ever
thought
any
of
the
following,
we
have
some
responses
you
may
not
have
thought
about: |
|
|
|
|
|
1. |
|
I
live
too
far
from
the
shelter
to
volunteer.
There
are
many
other
ways
to
give
your
time
without
coming
to
the
shelter.
You
can
help
type
form
letters,
assist
with
adoption
events
and
fundraisers
(at
various
locations
in
the
city
and
suburbs),
make
posters
or
foster
an
animal
in
need.
Even
if
you
live
out
of
state,
you
can
make
a
contribution.
You
can
sponsor
a
special
needs
animal
for
any
amount
and
help
pay
for
the
costs
associated
with
insulin
for
diabetics,
surgeries
and
general
care.
Furry
Friends
Foundation
takes
in
many
animals
who
have
been
hit
by
cars,
set
on
fire,
electrocuted
and
those
who
have
been
severely
neglected
and
abused.
Without
us,
these
animals
would
have
no
chance
for
survival.
100%
of
donations
go
directly
to
the
care
and
treatment
of
our
animals.
|
|
2. |
|
I
am
so
busy.
I
don't
have
time
to
volunteer.
No
time?
No
problem!
You
can
make
a
donation
of
and
items
that
a
dog
would
need
such
as
leashes,
carrying
crates,
blankets,
towels,
bathroom
rugs,
film,
newspapers
and,
of
course
money.
We
are
a
non-profit
organization
and
your
donations
are
tax
deductible.
|
|
3. |
|
I
volunteer
now,
what
more
can
I
do
to
help
the
shelter?
You
can
do
plenty!
You
can
help
spread
the
word
about
our
shelter
to
co-workers,
friends
and
relatives.
Circulate
our
posters
and
act
as
an
educator
by
letting
people
know
what
great
companions
animals
make.
|
|
4. |
|
I
adopted
one
animal
from
your
shelter.
Think
about
adding
another
member
to
your
family
by
adopting
a
buddy
for
the
animal
you
already
have.
Cats
and
dogs
are
social
animals
and
with
some
exceptions,
most
would
love
to
have
a
companion.
Consider
adopting
an
elderly
cat
or
dog.
You
will
get
great
comfort
in
knowing
that
you
helped
make
an
animal's
golden
years
special.
There
are
countless
ways
to
help
a
homeless
animal.
You
will
receive
an
incredible
amount
of
satisfaction
from
knowing
that
you
make
a
difference.
