Pit
Bull
Rescue.org
is
a
non-profit
organization
dedicated
to
the
rescue,
care,
training
and
adoption
of
Pit
Bull
Terriers
and
Pit
Bull
Terrier
mixes.
We
are
particularly
concerned
about
the
use
of
this
breed
for
dog
fighting and
the
abuse
that
accompanies
it.
We
work
with
any "no-kill"
shelter
in
major
cities
that
do"Pit
Bull
friendly" work
to
help
make
these
animals
more
adoptable.
We
also
award
grants
to
these
shelters
to
encourage
their
work.

The
Pit
Bull
Terrier
is
the
most
misunderstood,
maligned,
abused
and
feared
breed
of
dog.
Like
other
breeds,
Pit
Bulls
are
social,
fun
loving,
eager
to
please
and
trainable.
Unfortunately,
the
Pit
Bull
Terrier
has
been
targeted
for
the
illegal
sport
of
dog
fighting.
These
unfortunate
dogs
are
often
routinely
beaten,
starved,
burned,
tortured — so
badly
abused
and
damaged
that
they
must
be
put
down.
Given
the
prevalence
of
dog
fighting
in
every
major
city
in
our
country,
there
are
still
many,
many
good
Pit
Bull
Terriers
that
are
looking
for
a
loving
home.
Organizations
like
ours
and
others
around
the
country
rescue
the
dogs
that
are
not
dangerous.
When
you
visit
our
shelters,
you
will
find
some
of
the
most
affectionate,
family
oriented,
social
and
fun
loving
dogs
of
any
breed. |
Pit
Bull
Rescue
also
does
public
speaking
and
demonstrations
to
help
educate
the
public.
If
you
are
interested
in
having
one
of
our
representatives
speak
to
your
group
about
the
dog
fighting
issue
in
your
community,
please
contact
us.
